The nightly process that evaluates which student records should have a financial hold placed on them is controlled by a GTVSDAX setting. During the time the college wishes not to place financial holds on student accounts due to the pandemic, the value controlling the end term in the COVIDEND entry for the ACC_REC group would need to be extended. Following is the process to make the required change.

Note

Proper care should be used when updating GTVSDAX settings. Please follow the instructions to the letter and don’t click anything until you filter to the proper code needing to be updated.

  1. Start by going to the GTVSDAX screen in Banner and click the filter button in the upper right.

  1. Enter COVIDEND in the Code filter and click the Go button.

  1. You will be taken to the COVIDEND record. On this record, the External Code field holds the end term code used in the hold process. Simply enter in the new end term code for the process to use and click the SAVE button on the lower left.

  1. Once the screen has been saved you are free to X out of the screen.

There are two other codes that are part of the ACC_REC group and these are COVIDSTART and MAXBALANCE. they can be accessed by clicking the next page arrow to page 2 and 3 respectively. COVIDSTART is set to 202010 and MAXBALANCE is set to 51. These values should not need to be adjusted unless COS decides to increase or decrease the maximum balance a student can carry without being assigned a financial hold.
