1. As of Jan 25, 2023 we (VP Student Services, VP Administrative Services, Director of Applications, Data Steward) locally agreed to change the minimum number of students (25% to pass Quality Edit) to have the educational goal of C - "Obtain a two-year associate degree without transfer."

I know you and Ron spoke about the SS report and decided we didn’t have to submit per your CO contact. Unfortunately the CO-MIS department still requires us to submit something. We, in applications, decided then to keep submitting the file, but just not worrying about integrating new systems (SARS). In classic MIS fashion that immediately had an issue. We cannot report this terms data because more than 25% of students have an undecided Educational Goal (SS01).

We have four options to proceed, none of which optimal (my preference on order):

We change 3-4k students undecided goal to a decided goal. Preference on changing them to “C -Obtain a two-year associate degree without transfer”

We don’t report something like 3-4k students.

We try to programmatically change undecided students to decided using some other data element in Banner. Like application data, or program chosen data. We do that in the next 3ish business days to meet the MIS deadline (lol).

We submit a blank file and brace for CO-MIS response.
